Pay $21 - $28/hour Mission The Title Clerk prepares and processes title documents to transfer ownership of new and used vehicles to buyers. Outcomes Successful Candidates Will Prepare applicable tax and registration/title documents and submit documents timely and accurately to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Assist customers with completion of forms; respond to inquiries related to vehicle titling process; send packets to customers Verify funds have been collected on sales before processing titles and verify all money owed Maintain copies of relevant title paperwork, organize documents, scan all completed deal documents into the computer system Assure new products are warranty registered with the manufacturer on a timely basis Track and process all inventory to maintain accuracy of data in the manner currently prescribed by New York State regulation May provide backup support for the receptionist and/or perform other clerical duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma 1 year experience as a Title Clerk, or similar administrative position, preferred Possess Notary Public license or willing to obtain upon employment Compentencies Working knowledge of Department of Motor Vehicles titling procedures Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software Detail oriented and well organized Good verbal communication and listening skills, and a friendly, professional demeanor Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions Physical and Environmental Conditions Talking and hearing, sitting, repetitive hand motion, using hands to grasp, and reaching with arms/hands, are required. No exposure to adverse environmental conditions; work is performed in a typical office environment.
