As a Textile Designer , you will translate seasonal trends into creative, commercially relevant home textile products across our soft home categories. This is a product-focused textile design role, with an emphasis on designing through color, material, construction, texture, pattern, and technique rather than solely creating original prints. You will work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Sales, and international vendors to develop products from initial concept and CAD through sampling and final production. What You'll Do Research and translate seasonal trends across color, material, construction, texture, pattern, and technique into commercially relevant home textile products. Design and develop products across soft home categories, considering fabric, construction, scale, texture, embellishment, surface technique, and overall product aesthetic. Create CADs, product mockups, colorways, layouts, and presentation materials for seasonal collections and buyer presentations. Develop cohesive product assortments tailored to retailer needs, seasonal trends, and target price points. Explore and apply textile techniques such as weaving, embroidery, quilting, tufting, appliqué, printing, jacquard, and other decorative constructions as appropriate to the product. Translate design concepts into clear specifications and artwork that can be effectively communicated to factories and vendors. Partner with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sales to develop products aligned with seasonal direction and customer opportunities. Review swatches, lab dips, strike-offs, samples, materials, and constructions, providing feedback on color, quality, texture, scale, and overall execution. Collaborate with international factories and vendors throughout the development and sampling process to achieve the intended product aesthetic. Maintain design integrity from initial concept and CAD through final production. What We're Looking For 3+ years of textile or product design experience within home textiles, soft home, home décor, or related consumer product categories. Strong portfolio demonstrating home textile product design, CAD development, color, material, construction, and trend application. Experience designing physical textile products—not solely prints, graphics, or surface patterns. Strong eye for color, material, texture, construction, proportion, pattern, and emerging home trends. Understanding of textile materials and manufacturing techniques, including weaving, embroidery, quilting, tufting, printing, and other soft-goods constructions. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, including CAD development, product mapping, recoloring, and presentation. Ability to translate creative concepts into clear, production-ready designs and specifications. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Surface Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred. Portfolio required; portfolios should include examples of textile product development and finished product concepts, not solely print or surface pattern work.
