Job Description

Azenta seeks a Senior Director of North America Operations to lead specimen management and processing across multiple sites. This strategic leadership role oversees facility operations, logistics, lab services, and data management while driving operational excellence, revenue growth, and margin improvement for the specimen-related services business.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for specimen management, processing personnel, and operations across North America facilities
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean culture deployment with KPI measurement and outcome tracking
• Manage P&L ownership, capital planning, and fiscal oversight for operational sites
• Ensure quality, service excellence, and regulatory compliance through nonconformance and CAPA processes
• Lead talent acquisition, development, and establishment of functional operational vision

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years progressive operational management experience
• Experience managing regulated materials operations (CLIA, GMP, GTP, GLT, GCP, NABP)
• Demonstrated leadership of domestic and international operations sites
• Proven Lean methodology deployment and sustainment across operations
• Strong P&L management, analytical, and business acumen skills
• Effective collaboration in matrixed, multi-business-line environments
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification (preferred)
